ADVENT BY CANDLELIGHT –  I AM HERE

On Sunday, December 8th at 5:00 PM, Advent by Candlelight is being held in the Zion Family Life Center.  The LWML has chosen the theme “I AM Here.”

Women and daughters of Zion are invited to a time of fellowship to prepare your hearts for our Savior’s birth.  Join us as we open our hearts and minds with music, inspirational readings, and drama in a beautiful candlelight setting.  Check-in/table viewing will begin at 4:30 PM with pork loin, baby potatoes, green beans , rolls/butter, applesauce, and desserts served at 5:00 PM.  A short program will follow.

Reservations should be made on the sign-up sheets found on the library divider in the narthex.

There will be an in-gathering for Mission of Hope.  Mission of Hope provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support for our neighbors in Cedar Rapids through weekday lunch and emergency food sacks, clothes closet, food pantry, and spiritual growth and support.

Suggested items to bring include:  hand soap, body wash, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, and toothbrushes.
