Phillip Magness
to Visit Zion
on January 22nd

Phillip Magness serves the Lord through LCMS as a part-time missionary in the French-speaking countries in West and Central Africa.  As a music specialist, he teaches hymnody and liturgy at the Lutheran Center for Theological Studies in Togo, West Africa.  He also will do workshops in the surrounding countries and advise the LCMS partner church in Ghana on their new hymnal project.  In addition Phillip also serves as Director of Sanctuary Worship at Concordia Lutheran Church, Kirkwood, Mo. He will be returning to Africa on February 20, 2020.

Phillip will do a presentation at Zion to the Wednesday morning Bible Studies at 9:30 AM on January 22nd.  Members and friends are invited to attend this workshop where he will show videos of his work in Africa and give an experience of his teaching. Prayers are requested for Phillip as he serves in Africa.  Also pray for his students, the local pastors and musicians that they may be nurtured and see the Gospel proclaimed through music.
